Well, almost!
We’re getting ready to send off our amazing 8th graders in style with an unforgettable End-of-Year Party—but we need YOUR help to make it epic!
From music and games to food and fun, we’re planning a celebration they’ll never forget. If you’d like to contribute, please consider donating to help us make this event extra special! You can donate using the button below (Make sure you note "8th Grade Party" in the comments)

Year End Party
Each year the PTSA, with the support of the 8th Grade parents, plan a year-end party celebrating our graduating 8th graders. The party takes place after the 8th Grade ceremony, on the last day of school, currently set for June 12, 2025. The party consists of food, music, games and time to hang out with friends.
Class T-Shirt
As the end of the year approaches, the PTSA holds a T-Shirt design contest! 8th Grade students submit designs, the class is presented with a few options, and students vote for their favorite. T-Shirts are usually handed out well in advance of the last day. Every 8th Grade student gets a free shirt, and they can wear it to school and on celebration day if they wish.
Legacy Gift
Each year the 8th Grade class also has an option to leave a Legacy Gift to the school, depending on funds available from the 8th Grade fundraising efforts. The committee works with the school and students to select the gift.
Fundraising
To support all these 8th grade activities, fundraising events are held each year. We'll share more information on upcoming fundraisers soon!
Volunteering
If you are interested in volunteering to help plan the 8th Grade Year End Party, please contact ptsa.tjms@gmail.com. A Sign-Up Genius link will also be sent out in April/May to request volunteers for the party on the last day of school.
REMINDER: If you help during school hours, you must have volunteer clearance through Vancouver Public Schools. Complete the FREE volunteer application and background check HERE. The clearance is valid for 2 years. If you're unsure whether you are already cleared, please check with the school office.
