Parents of Eighth Graders: We need you!

Year End Party

Each year the PTSA, with the support of the 8th Grade parents, plans a year-end party celebrating our graduating 8th graders.  The party takes place after the 8th Grade ceremony, on the last day of school, currently set for June 11, 2027. The party consists of food, music, games and time to hang out with friends.

T-Shirts

Each rising eighth grader typically receives a T-shirt corresponding with the high school they'll be attending!

Legacy Gift

Each year the 8th-Grade class also has an option to leave a Legacy Gift to the school, depending on funds available from the 8th Grade fundraising efforts. The committee works with the school and students to select the gift.

Fundraising

To support all these 8th grade activities, fundraising events are held each year. We'll share more information on upcoming fundraisers soon!

Volunteering

If you are interested in volunteering to help plan the 8th Grade Year End Party, please contact ptsa.tjms@gmail.com.  A Sign-Up Genius link will also be sent out in April/May to request volunteers for the party on the last day of school.

REMINDER: If you help during school hours, you must have volunteer clearance through Vancouver Public Schools. Complete the FREE volunteer application and background check HERE. The clearance is valid for 2 years. If you're unsure whether you are already cleared, please check with the school office.
